Blog post #3 - due Wednesday, June 15
Dear students,
Today's topic will be an important one: the U.S. presidential election. In the past few weeks, it has become clear that the likely presidential candidates will be Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans. If you could vote in this election, which one would you vote for?Give reasons in support of your candidate, and reasons not to support his/her opponent. Be as persuasive as possible. And please write complete sentences, and not just one- or two-word answers. Remember that you are writing, not texting!

Blog post #2 - due Monday, June 6
Dear students,
This week's topic will combine 2 of the topics the class seemed most interested in: sports and exercise. Here are some questions to think about. Please respond to some or all.
1. Are you interested in sports?
2. If so, which one(s) are you most interested in?
3. Do you play ( participate in) this sport, or do you prefer to watch others play?
4. If you play, how long have you been playing it?
5. Have you ever been on a team?
6. Do you do it for exercise or for enjoyment?
7. What else do you do for exercise?
As usual, please react to your classmates' comments.
Best,
Diana

Blog post #1 - due Monday, May 23
Dear students,
Welcome to our class blog! In the future, I will consider your choices for blog topics. For this first one, however, I have chosen one of my favorite topics: art. Please answer some or all of these questions:
1. Do you like art?
2. What kind of art do you like ( or dislike)? Do you prefer representational or abstract art?
3. Who is your favorite artist?
4. Which museum in New York is your favorite?
5. Which museums in other cities have you visited?
6. If possible, post a photo of a work of art that you like, for all of us to look at.
Finally, please react briefly ( in 1 or 2 sentences) to the photos and comments of your classmates.
I hope you will enjoy thinking and writing about this topic. I surely look forward to reading your postings.
Happy blogging!
